Work hack #12: Kids welcome!
Doors open, kids in – whether in their own playroom, as occasional guests in the office, or as part of a specially organized holiday program in the company. After all, children noticeably change the vibes of the workplace. When children are in the room, conversations take a different course. Communication becomes more open, the so-called “professional façade” cracks, and thus there’s space for a new quality of human connection. This is not only good on a personal level; it also influences the work environment for the better. Suddenly we see our colleagues as people with a life outside of work. Understanding for each other is promoted.
Also: those who are empathic will probably also develop better products at the end of the day.
