Work hack #41: Meditation to go

Saying that “I really don’t have time for meditation at work” is not a valid argument anymore. Thanks to the right apps, everyone can take short guided time-outs to breathe deeply, collect and ground themselves – especially when the workload is much too big for one day. The positive effect that even short phases of conscious reflection and silence have on the overall well-being (and yes, don’t worry, also on performance), has been proven many times. Apps such as “Headspace” or “7minds” offer meditation sessions for just about any life or work situation – whether for the trip to the office, the 5-minute break between meetings, or a longer session after work. Some apps are even listed with certain health insurance companies so that the additional costs can be reimbursed. Ommmmhhhh…
