Work hack #21 : Strengthen strengths

What is easier for you – working on your weaknesses or building on your strengths? Probably the latter. It is certainly more fun and the motivation much higher. So instead of concentrating on what we are not good at, it is much more effective to contribute and develop our existing talents. So, in every day work life, why not pass on tasks that we’re not so good at to those that are, so that everyone can work according to his or her talents? Employees can post to-dos that they would like to hand off to someone else digitally or on an analog board. This not only creates contacts between colleagues who take on tasks for one another, but also creates an awareness of who is good at what.

By the way: If there is no one who wants to take over the posted task, it remains with the original owner. In weekly team meetings colleagues can discuss whether and how well the task distribution works.

Work hacks?

Work Hacks are simple, yet original, methods that can be implemented quickly and directly. They improve collaboration and results in the work context.
