Work hack #20: Onboarding Buddy

Do you recall the butterflies in your stomach on the first day at a new job? Sounds familiar, right? This positive energy should be used and maintained by the employer – beginning with a really good onboarding. Better yet: a really good personal onboarding, where someone takes time to show the new hire all workflows, processes and tools, or better yet, organizes sessions with the respective coworkers and is available for questions and feedback for the first few days.

Tipp: An onboarding with a designated person within the company is not only valuable for the new employee. It can also an opportunity for longtime employees to refresh their knowledge about processes, reflect and adjust them if necessary.
